Many organizations collect used eyeglasses for the needy. Accept I bet it would be more than happy with that (if ever) used.
If you are of what organizations are insecure in your area are available, ask your eyedoctor or call large groups such as the army Hello, Red Cross or United Way and ask for the name of a local organization.
